using a few of my scraps lately. It seems I've been on a bit of a fabric buying binge! I hadn't noticed it until I washed and folded it all recently!
In my own defense, the way the fabric companies often work these days, printing a limited supply and if you don't get it pretty soon after it comes out, you can't get it at all, contributed greatly to this splurge. I'm sure my own fabric lust had nothing to do with it.
Starting on the top left, I've been smitten by Cloud 9's GeoCentric canvas ever since it first came out. When I saw Lynn's frame purses, I was even more certain I needed some. Still, I waited several months before I had to indulge. That navy blue one must become a summer tote! I didn't know it at the time, but GeoCentric II is due out later this Summer.
Underneath the canvas are a few fat eighths I picked up at Pink Castle Fabrics for a small project. There is some Marmalade, Type, Simply Color, Dear Stella and a a couple without selvages that I don't know. Under that are some freebies I got at QuiltCon. There are a fat quarter each from Amy Butler and from Cloud 9's Simpatico line and a few 10" squares from Newcastle Fabrics.
The top of the right pile is some Architextures yardage - I have a fat quarter pack, but wanted some bigger pieces of some of my favorites. Then we have some Noteworthy and more Dear Stella and some Color Me Retro from Jeni B. These are also for a specific smallish project so I'll be using them soon. Such fresh colors! All of this also from Pink Castle Fabrics.
Last, but not least, fat quarters of Alison Glass' Lucky Penny Bike Paths - another one I've been wanting to buy since I first saw them :)
Not even pictured is my latest purchase - Comma by Zen Chic. I absolutely love this line! And I have a project in mind for that too :) Guess I better stop buying and start sewing!
